indiGO is a non-profit agency empowering people with disabilities in Northwestern Wisconsin. As a consumer-controlled organization, at least 51% of our staff and board are people with disabilities. indiGO staff provide information, training, and support to people with disabilities in making informed decisions about disability-related needs.
All services are consumer-controlled and each individual decides which services they wish to participate in while working with staff to establish goals and determine steps to meet those goals.
indiGO is seeking a Comprehensive Community Support Coordinator (CCS) to join our team on a Part-time basis. This position does not have a regularly set schedule but averages approximately 15 – 25 hours per week. The CCS Coordinator will assist, manage, and train staff who are working with consumers who are receiving services through Ashland and Bayfield County Comprehensive Community Support and/or other programs. The CCS Coordinator will have a minimal caseload to manage, approximately 5 local consumers, of Individual Skill Development and Enhancement participants. The CCS Coordinator will promote consumer-directed services to persons with mental health disabilities and/or substance use disorder. The CCS Coordinator will work with other staff members to help consumers work toward achieving goals in their recovery plan.

indiGO is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to join our team part-time. This position does not have a regularly set schedule but averages around 15 – 25 hours per week. The CPS will provide person-centered peer support services that build on the values of respect, safety, non-judgement and hope.
Your contributions will include:
● Provide recovery-oriented, person-centered peer support services to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use concerns in the communities of Ashland & Bayfield Counties.
● Accurate and timely completion of progress notes.
● Recognize and respect the lived experience of all consumers.
● Attend monthly staff meetings and supervisory meetings.
● Commitment to work an average of 20 hours per week.
● Adhere to the Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist Code of Ethics.
To be successful in this opportunity, you will need:
● High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
● Active Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist certification is required.
● Identify as a person with lived experience of recovery with mental health and/or substance use concerns.
● Demonstrated ability to provide services in a social service setting is required.
● Demonstrated understanding of principles of recovery.
● Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of personality types.
● Demonstrated ability to value recovery and recognize the importance of culturally appropriate, person-centered, trauma-informed care.
● Must be able to successfully pass a caregiver background check at hire and annually thereafter in accordance with the state and local DHS requirements.
● Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word and email.
● Travel from your home office to our Superior, WI office and throughout the Ashland & Bayfield county service area is required.
